In its second edition, DDD registered a 90% average occupancy rate in the room — a significant increase over its first edition in 2016.
In 2017, Festival DDD grew not only in number of days, performances, workshops and parallel activities, but also in the number of visitors/audience, which grew 29% since last year.
Of the 41 sessions of the DDD IN - stage performances -, 26 sold out, translating into a rate of 64%. There were also 10 presentations in public space - DDD OUT -, in places of great flow of passers-by from the three cities that co-organized the Festival.
Also, the DDD EXTRA, comprised of workshops, masterclasses and meetings, had about 2400 participants in all activities, revealing the growing interest of the community in the performing arts.
Among the artists, teams and programmers invited, the festival hosted around 285 people, including several national and international programmers from France, Brazil, Belgium, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and Spain.
The Festival DDD returns in 2018, from April 26 to May 13, and will feature the piece by the moroccan choreographer Bouchra Ouizguen for Carte Blanche, National Company of Contemporary Dance of Norway, and also with the new creation of Olga Roriz.
