April 18 would be the opening day of the 5th DDD - Festival Dias da Dança: the 1st of 16 days in which over 20 performances and several activities (workshops, talks, networking events, parties…) would be presented to our audiences, including national and international programmers, who would join us once again!
April 18 would be the opening day of the 5th DDD - Festival Dias da Dança: the 1st of 16 days in which over 20 performances and several activities (workshops, talks, networking events, parties…) would be presented to our audiences, including national and international programmers, who would join us once again!
But given the exceptional situation we are experiencing, DDD won´t happen this year. We had prepared an edition which would generally approach topics such as the need to slow down, community, affections and rituals. We were far from imagining that those themes would gain such a particular relevance in these atypical days.
We want to believe, though, that, collectively, we will be able to turn this page and return in 2021 with a reinforced edition. DDD 2021 will be, as far as possible, a copy-paste edition of 2020’s, but it will also include new works and premières.
We would like to thank all the artists and companies programmed this year:
