Teatro Praga once again joins the Metropolitana musicians – this time, two pianos and percussion – in yet another performance of A Sagração da Primavera [The Rite of Spring], Stravinsky’s ballet originally choreographed by Nijinski. Considering this piece as a milestone in the history of performing arts, it follows the desire to bringing History to the stage and to understand how it reverberates in contemporary times. A celebration of the planet and the place we inhabit degenerates into a sacrificial ritual that will serve as a guiding line for thinking about the inextricable mixture of existence, favouring a dramaturgy of mutual influences. The force of life, of spring, is also the force of abandonment and abdication of all types of bodies. — Teatro Praga
