Justin Talplacido Shoulder is a Filipino Australian artist and storyteller working primarily in performance, sculpture, video and collective events. Also known as Phasmahammer, their practice is an eco-cosmology of alter personas based on queered ancestral myth. In this workshop, Shoulder introduces some of their conceptual and performative devising methodologies. Dreaming together we encourage participants to tap into their own cultural languages and mythologies to devise their own performance avatars. Part storytelling, part movement workshop: participants are encouraged to bring key signs and symbols that connect to their own story to remix and conjure new figures into existence. — Justin Talplacido Shoulder
