The Macaroni Club draws inspiration from the term macaroni and its historical use as a concept that broadly refers to (effeminate) men dedicated to beauty and fashion in the Western world in the 18th century. By recreating what a macaronis gathering would look like in a speculative manner, and what it would look like today, we put forward a long-term activation resorting to LARPing (live action role-playing). The characters walk around, discuss, get ready, and the audience is invited to also create characters to inhabit this story. — The Cursed Assembly
