I begin in a given spot and I return to it. An unfinished path portrayed by the body, by other languages, and by objects that carry me back to my old ‘self’. From the place where I was born and raised to a place where I found and learned about myself. I bring Portuguese longing from where the queen rules, like the blood going and returning to the heart where it belongs and remains warm. I’ve loved both houses. Portugal, today I bring you my story; I present myself to you once again in the same city, only now the performer has grown. — XS
