On the multiple experience of the unrepeatable.
The decisive glue for the creative process is Almada Negreiros: "Nostalgia is the passive masturbation of those who don’t realise that nature is sufficiently varied that there is no need to look backwards. Speed is driven by enthusiasm and never disengages from happiness." With Negreiros we associate Maximalism with Dadaism and Surrealism, with "speed", greediness of being, including and conjugating: "Eternity does indeed exist, but not so slowly." The piece is based on Negreiros, on his speed in awakening brains in the body, the unrepeatable orchestra of the new consumed at running speed, in maximum ambitions that refuse the smallest of common denominators. The artistic option focuses on excess, on the overlapping of standards, on the association of disparate elements, on the meaningless, non-discursive andnon-demonstrable. On the maze of mutable geometries, a game of mirrors without an original and primary image, speed and paradox; a game of disjunction that conjugates the apparently incongruous and the non-assimilable. — Hugo Calhim Cristovão & Joana von Mayer Trindade
