A
propic is a creative agency that takes care of the international promotion of
choreographers and the distribution of their work. In this workshop, Line
Rousseau will elaborate on the agency’s methodology with a focus on distribution
and sales in the cultural ecosystem. Topics to be discussed during this
workshop include what it means to produce a piece in its entirety while taking
national and international touring into account, the relationship between
artist and agent, how to gain (inter) national visibility for the repertoire
and how to build long-term relationships with international partners. This
workshop will also focus on factors that can be taken into account to ensure
sustainable touring nowadays and what possible strategies can be envisaged.
