Alain Platel returns with a new show, inspired by the music of Gustav Mahler and the time in which he lived. On stage, Alain Platel uses the body of a group of dancers to draw a parallel between music and the social and cultural problems of 20th Century Europe. Steven Prengels, who works with Platel on a regular basis, uses polyphonic African chants and the sounds of animals sleeping to create a surprising soundscape. This is a dance of life and of death.
