After the release of the album Samba de Guerrilha, the singer-songwriter from Rio de Janeiro based in Porto Luca Argel takes the project to the stage with all its components: music, story and image come together on stage to tell the story of Samba. This hundred-year-old Brazilian genre went through many battles before reaching social acceptance. It represents the struggle of black and peripheral populations in search of recognition, rights and dignity.
Samba de Guerrilha EM CENA is a journey through time, where we get to know stories and characters from the fight against racism, slavery and inequality. We hear the narrative in the form of samba but a samba that, this time, is permanently testing the limits of its musical possibilities, a reinvented, electrified samba, born an ocean away from tradition.
