Ana Isabel Castro has a degree from Escola Superior de Dança in Lisbon, and attended FAICC - Advanced Program in Interpretation and Choreography by Companhia Instável. As an ERASMUS scholarship student at the MUK in Vienna, she worked with Esther Balfe, Saju Hari and Georg Blaschke. As a performer, she collaborated with Compagnie 7273, Circolando, Companhia Instavél, Kale Companhia de Dança, Jonathan Uliel Saldanha and Joclécio Azevedo. In DDD 2019, she presented marengo, and in DDD 2021, iceberg. Ana was one of the JAA! —  Jovens Artistas Associados [Young Associated Artists] of Teatro Municipal do Porto during the 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 seasons. Pechisbeque is her most recent creation.
