Cristina Mendanha is the artistic director of Arte Total, a structure for the creation, production and mediation of audiences dedicated to contemporary artistic practices, since 1992, based in Braga. She did part of her dance training at the National Ballet Company, has a degree in Fine Arts – Painting, from FBAUP – Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, a master's degree in Education in Art, Crafts and Design, from the University of Surrey, Roehampton, and a PhD in Art Education, also from FBAUP. She does artistic research in site-specific contexts and is a collaborating researcher at the Institute for Research in Art, Design and Society (i2ADS).
