Carla Nobre Sousa has been co-artistic director of Alkantara Associação Cultural since 2018. She joined the structure in 2016, the year in which she was production coordinator for the Alkantara Festival, having later assumed the role of programming advisor. From 2011 to 2015, she collaborated with Associação Cultural Materiais Diversos, where she was responsible for the production and international dissemination of projects by Tiago Guedes, Sofia Dias & Vítor Roriz, Marcelo Evelin, Filipa Francisco, Pablo Fidalgo Lareo and Teresa Silva & Elizabete Francisca, among others. She holds an Erasmus Mundus Masters in Performing Arts (Université Libre de Bruxelles / Université de Nice-Sophia Antipolis) and a degree in Theatre and Political Science (McGill University, Montréal).
