Cristian Duarte em companhia is an initiative by choreographer Cristian Duarte to create and promote dance in São Paulo, fostering the interaction between different areas of knowledge and languages. He has been a resident at Casa do Povo since 2013, developing experimentation and training projects such as LOTE and Z0NA. His work has been awarded in Brazil and presented abroad. Duarte trained at the New Dance Studio and Company, in São Paulo, and at P.A.R.T.S. – Performing Arts Research and Training Studios, in Brussels. He participated in several international collaborations and has worked for companies such as the Cullberg Ballet and the São Paulo City Ballet.
