Elizabete Francisca has a degree in industrial design from ESAD – College of Art and Design. She studied dance at Fórum Dança and the Lisbon School of Dance. Since 2009, she has taken part in several projects, mostly multidisciplinary and collaborative, with artists from the fields of dance, theatre, visual arts and cinema, highlighting the work with Vera Mantero (2011-2020), Loïc Touzé, Mark Tompkins, Meg Stuart, Ana Borralho and João Galante, Mariana Tengner Barros, Miguel Pereira, Vânia Rovisco, André Guedes, Antonio Tagliarini, Carlota Lagido, Carlos Manuel de Oliveira, Tânia Carvalho, Ritó Natálio, Tónan Quito, Cláudia Varejão and Marília Rocha. She also highlights her creations in collaboration with Teresa Silva, Leva a mão que eu levo o braço [Take the Hand, I’ll Take the Arm] and Um Espanto não se Espera [You Do Not Expect to Be Astonished], the pieces Tsunamismo. Recital para Duas Cordas em M [Tsunamism. Recital for Two Strings in M], Dias Contados [Numbered Days] and COSMOGONIAS, eles não nos poderão matar o espírito [COSMOGONIES, They Won’t Be Able to Kill Our Spirit], and the film O Gesto [The Gesture], co-directed with Francisca Manuel and Jennifer Bonn. She was an associate artist at Materiais Diversos (2011-2013) and had the support of O Rumo do Fumo (2013-2022). She is currently a member of Apneia Colectiva.
