Mara Andrade between medicine and dance, is inspired by the physicality
of emotional states and how they are transformed on each other. In 2012, she created “Uma Pequena Morte e Psicanálise” [A Small Death and Psychoanalysis]. In 2013, with “Oxitocina” [Oxytocin], she represented Portugal at the VI Young Artists Biennial, Salvador da Bahia, and co-created “Por minha culpa, minha tão grande culpa” [Through My Most Grievous Fault] with Marco da Silva Ferreira. From 2014 to 2015 she created the solo “Um Triste Ensaio sobre a Beleza” [A Sad Essay about Beauty] that premiered on October 4, 2015 at Teatro do Campo Alegre, in Porto.
