Melissa Sousa studied contemporary dance performance at UNEARTE – National Experimental University of the Arts (Caracas) and International Dance Programme at the Peridance Capezio Center (New York). She won hip hop and house freestyle battles and performed for Sandrine Lescourant, Dana Foglia, Ladies of Hip Hop, Alvin Ailey School Jorge Gonçalves, Joclécio Azevedo, Catarina Campos, Marco da Silva Ferreira and the duo Jonas & Lander. She co-created Bownd (2018) and created En el vacío (2017).
