Piny is a performer, choreographer, researcher and teacher. She was born in Lisbon and she is of Portuguese and Angolan ancestry. She has a degree in architecture and a degree in contemporary dance. She has been studying Middle East and Northern Africa dances and their contemporary fusions since 1999, and hip hop culture and clubbing since 2006. She is both a performer and creator, highlighting HIP. A Pussy Point of View and .G RITO. In 2023, she took the festival OU.kupa to Teatro do Bairro do Alto.
