Raimund Hoghe was born in Wuppertal and began his carrier writing celebrity portraits for the German newspaper "Die Zeit". From 1980 to 1990, he worked as dramatist for Pina Bausch's Tanzetheater Wuppertal and was complicit in her work. Since 1989 he has produced shows for various dancers and actors. In 1992 he began a collaboration with the artist Luca Giacomo Schulte, who remains his collaborator today. In 1994 he produced his first solo, "Meinwarts". This, with "Chambre Séparée" (1997) and "Another Dream" (2000) which followed, formed his 20th century trilogy. He lives in Dusseldorf and has won various prizes.
